China Paper Association(CPA) located in Beijing was formally founded in 1992.CPA is a nationwide organization of paper industry.It now has more than 620 member units, including enterprises, corporations, company-groups, research institutes, colleges and universities designing and manufacturing units.

The main task of CPA is to perform the linkage or the bridge between the enterprises and the government and to provide various services for the enterprises.Offering technical consultation, promoting the contacts with organizations of the trade in the countries and over the world, establishing international and domestic information network, developing international technical and economic exchanges and cooperation, organizing member units to participate exhibitions and seminars of new technology and new techniques at home and abroad, regularly providing technical and economic information of development of paper industry domestically and internationally.

Several branches and 8 professional committees have been established in CPA such as, Art Paper Branch, Glass Paper Branch, Cigarette Paper Branch, Carbonless Copy Branch; Enterprises Management Committee, Energy Committee, Standardization Committee, Reed Fibber Raw Material Committee, Paper Industry Forest Committee, Safety Production Committee, Environmental Protection Committee and Household Paper committee.
