Established in 1984, under the guidance of China government, Sewing Machine Association of P.R.China(S.M.A.China)assumed the duty of coordinating and administering China's sewing machine industry. As a social economic entity. The China Sewing Machine Association is composed of voluntary manufacturers, management agencies, research institutes, educational institutions, as well as concerning scholars, specialists, well-known personnel and special contributors.
S.M.A.China consists of about 200 members distributed across the whole country with its secretariat located in Beijing. The China Sewing Machine Association constituted six special committees as follows: domestic sewing machine committee, lockstitch sewing machine committee, overlock sewing machine committee, special sewing machine committee,sewing machine elements and fittings committee as well as science & technology committee. Coordinated and organized by the China Sewing Machine Association , each committee launches activities according to their specialties.
As a principal organization of managing over nation-wide sewing machine industry, S.M.A. China is entrusted by the state government with responsibility for the work as followed: to investigate, collect. sort out,and issue the basic data of the whole industry, to study the strategic orientation of China's sewing machine industry, to participate in carrying out economic policies and regulations of sewing machine industry , to supervise and guide the inspection of product quality and standardization as well as collection of scientific and technological information.
S.M.A.China we will consistently offer services for all members, for the same industry sector in the world and the whole society,firmly strengthen communication with industries and association of the same line. It is our sincerely hope that the China Sewing Association could deserve every effort to the progress and prosperity of the world-wide sewing machine industry.
