Glass industry mainly includes packer's glass containers, domestic glassware, glass instruments,optical glass, special glass products, glass thermal insulation containers, jog for man-made mine fountain water, glass mosaic, special glass molds, glass machinery, as well as special refractories ( for example, pot) for glass industry. The CNAGI possesses 548 members'unit under the 11 professional committees,together with Department of Technical Economic Information, Standardization Center of Glass Instruments,Standardization Center of Glass & Enamel, Test Center for Glass Instrument Quality,Test Center for Glass & Enamel Quality.Information of China Domestic Glass (monthly journal) , Working Brief of CNAGI (bimonthly journal ,inner only).

Under the guide of the socialism market economic theory, CNAGI's main task are:
1.By studying Industry's proceeding, to give recommendations to government department and take part in relative activities on the stipulation of industry plan, economic technical policies and economic legislation and so on.
2.To provide home & abroad information of technical economy & market to its members with technology consulting service by organizing communicating activities and issuing industry publications.
3.To communicate each other exporting , foreign capital using and technology introduction so as to coordinate actions.
4.As China glass industry member in relative organization of international domestic glass industry, to attend its meetings and develop relationships with organizations abroad, to carry out economic technical cooperation, exchange and exhibition.
5.To organize and draw the notional and industry standard of some products.
6.To catty out activities in member's unit favors to defend their legal rights and interests.
