What is China Association of
Lighting Industry?
China Association of
Lighting Industry is a national trade organization, a body corporate in
terms of social status finance.
Its members constitute 80% of the
whole industry, which, after 40 years development, owns over 600
enterprises and institutions with 240,000 employees and 30 billion yuan
annual output value including 1.6 billion USD from export products.
It
has partially taken over functions of the former Lighting Division of
China National Council of Light Industry in the sense that it acts as the
Council's adviser in its policy-making for and macroscopic supervision of
the industry. Furthermore, it is the liaison between the government and
the enterprises as a whole, and among the member enterprises.
Its sole
aim is to promote common prosperity of its members.
How is it organized?
In order to carry out its activities in a most efficient way, the
association has set up under it 5 technical committees and 2
centers.
The 5 technical committees are:
LAMPS COMMITTEE: including
all kinds of lamps and lamp-making machinery.
LAMP
CAPS & CAPHOLDERS COMMITTEE
ACCESSORIES FOR DISCHARGE LAMPS
COMMITTEE: including both conventional and electronic ballasts, starters,
ignitors, adapters and lighting control devices.
LUMINAIRES COMMITTEE:
including industrial, commercial, residential decorative industrial, and
explosive-prool luminaires.
LAMP-MAKING MATERIALS COMMITTEE: including
all kinds of metals, glass and quartz components and phosphors.
The 2
centers are for personnel training , and information providing.
What can it
do?
1.China Association
of Lighting Industry is in a unique position of giving most valuable
advice to all importers and exporters of lighting products as well as
lamp-making plants.
2.It can provide technology and management
necessary to a modern lamp making factory.
3.It is able to undertake
any kind of lighting designing and engineering projects including
relamping projects for the purpose of energy
conservation. |
