China Toothpaste Industry
Association

China Toothpaste Industry Association was established on November 1, 1984. Its aim is to serve for the enterprises within the industry sector; promote the development of the industry sector; protect the legal rights of the enterprises. Entrusted by the concerning governmental agencies, it is also responsible for part of administration of the industry sector. With the instruction of the governmental agencies and the support of the enterprises, it acts as a bridge and tie between the governmental agency and the enterprise, as well as among the enterprises.
The supreme authority body is the Member's Representative Assembly. The Council and the Standing Council take the responsibilities respectively when the Representative Assembly is not in session. Currently, there are 118 organization members, in which 52 members are the toothpaste and tooth cleaning product manufacturers; 24 members are toothpaste material producers; 6 members are toothpaste equipment manufacturers; and other 34 members are concerning institutions engaged in academic research and education activities in this field. Guided by the Association there are two professional committees (Science and Technology Committee as well as Political and Ideological Work Committee). The publications edited by the Association are: "Toothpaste Industry" and "News Letter". The latter functions to reflect the Association and the industry sector. Those publications are mainly distributed among the members.
