| Founded in July, 1988, China Salt Association ,
formed voluntarily by the salt enterprises and institutions, is the
nationwide sectoral organization of transregion, transdepartment and
transownership, and has the qualifications of legal person of a social
body corporate. It has now 281 members. Under the Society, there is Salt
Chemical Specialized Committee. The standing working body is the
secretariat of the Society. In 1993, the economic entity --Beijing Haishan
Salt Industry Consultative Company of Science & Technology--was
established. The purpose of the Society is: to serve the enterprise; to strengthen the sectoral management and the sectoral autonomy; to lead the enterprises to implement and carry out various general and specific state policies and regulations regarding to reform and opening-up and building socialist market economy system consciously, and to promote the coordinating development of the whole sector. The basic tasks of the Association are to fully play the principal role of the sectoral management, to play the role of a bridge and a link between the government and the enterprises, to do a good job of two-way service; to implement the government policies of macroadjustment and control, to report the demands from the enterprises, to maintain the legitimate rights and interests of the enterprises, to play the role of coordination, service and supervision, and to help the enterprises to heighten their entire quality, and enhance the competitive strength. The current chairman of board of directors of China Salt Society is Dong Zhihua; the vice-chairmen are Tan Qia, Sun Jiashu, Lin Jiahua, Wang Zhougyu and Du Maohua; secretary-general is Ni Bin; deputy secretary-general is Li Hong. | |
