China Dairy Industry Association is the social organization with the sectoral nature, approved by the former Ministry of Light Industry, PRC, registered with permission with the Ministry of Civil Administration on July 6th, 1994 (She Tuan Zheng Zi No.1654), and formally established on July 6th, 1995. China Dairy Industry Association is professionally guided by China State Administration of Light Industry .

China Dairy Industry Association is the nationwide, sectoral organization which is transregional and transdepartment, and regardless of economic nature. Every enterprise and institution which is engage in milk and dairy products production and is the sector-related scientific research, teaching and equipment manufacture can be the member unit of the Association through application. China Dairy Industry Association has now over 380 members, basically covering all the medium-and large-size dairy products manufacturers in China.

The periodicals edited and published by China Dairy Industry Association are as follows:the bimonthly "China Dairy Industry" is distributed publicly both at home and abroad, the address of the editorial department is 337 Xuefu Road, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, with the postcode of 150086 ; the second magazine "China Dairy Industry Newsletter" is the restricted publication of the Association, it is compiled by the Association secretariat and published every month.

China Dairy Industry Association extensively carries out international cooperation, and is the full member of the International Dairy Federation (IDF)after official joining the organization in 1995. The Association keeps good relations with the various organization concerned in the dairy-developed countries in the world, is willing to have cooperations with the colleagues in the various countries.
