Established on March 2, 1993, China Soft Drinks Industry Association is a social organization jointly formed by the enterprises and the related enterprise, and installations of the nationwide soft drinks sector; is a national trade organization of trans-region, trans-department and regardless of ownership; is the Grad I state-level association, under the guidance of China National Council of Light Industry.
China Soft Drinks Industry Association has mow 259 members, its standing body is located in Beijing, the secretary-general takes care of the routine matters.
With the aim of promoting the development of the Chinese soft drinks industry and with the purpose of serving the soft drinks sector, China Soft Drinks Industry Association plays the role of a bridge and a link between the government and the enterprises; puts forward the developing plan and economic policies for the soft drinks industry; organizes the working-out of product standards; provides the basis for the government to make great decisions for the soft drinks industry; assists the government with trade management; lays down the trade regulations and disciplines; coordinates the actions of the whole trade; organizes the entrepreneurs to go abroad for inspection; takes vigorous action to import new technique, new technology, and new equipment; strengthens the international exchange of the same trade; provides various consultation and information service for the member units; and makes the contributions to the development of the Chinese soft drinks industry. The products includes:carbonated drinks, fruit juice and fruit juice drinks, vegetable juice and vegetable juice drinks, milk drinks, vegetable protein drinks, bottled water, tea drinks, solid drinks, drinks for special purpose, and other drinks.
