Association

The main tasks are as follows:

• To propagate the state policies, to communicate the intentions of the government, to reflect the demands of the whole trade, and to play the role of a bridge and a link between the government and the enterprises;
• To protect the legitimate rights and interests of the member units, to play the role of coordination;and
• To organize the cooperations and exchanges among the sector, between the sector and the related organizations worldwide, and among the related enterprises, and to provide the service of information, consultation and training etc.

China Stationery & Sporting Goods Association now has 2 subassociations, 17 specialized committees, and nearly 700 members, distributed over 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. In order to promote the publicity and the communication of the sector, the Association sponsors the magazine "Stationery & Sporting Goods with Science & Technology" which is openly published nationwide, as well as the magazine "Stationery & Sporting Goods Information" and the monthly "Overseas Abstracts of Economy & Trade" circulated among the members. Every year the Association sponsors the regular "International Stationery Fair"; holds "Sporting Goods Fair" and "Nationwide Fishing Tackle Commodity Fair" together with other departments; organizes the exchanges and cooperations with foreign countries; formulates the trade's developing programme entrusted by the government; compiles the guide to the development of new products; and organizes to work out the product standards etc.
