China Four-Treasure-of-Study
Association is the Grade ñstatelevel
association responsible for the management of the national
four-treasure-of-study sector. Approved by the State Economic Commission,
it was officially set up in Beijing in 1988, and it registered once again
with the Ministry of Civil Administration after its verification in 1991.
The third session of the Association were held in October, 1996. Through
election, Fang Yi and Qiao Mingfu are the honorary chairmen of board of
directors. Zhao ZhenHuan is the chairman of board of directors; Han
Jiading, Han Zhongren, Xu Dagui, Cao Wansheng, Pan Fusheng, Gao Zongyuan,
Liu Yanliang, Li Zhiqiang, Liang Renzeng, Zou Qingfang, Li Keng, Zhou
Meihong and Qian Zhenming are the vice chairmen of board of directors; Guo
Haitang is the secretary-gengeral. |
| The purpose of the
Association is: to serve the four-treasure-of-study enterprises
nationwide; to maintain the legitimate rights and interests of the
enterprises; to promote the development of the entire sector; to play the
role of a bridge and a link between the enterprises and the government; to
reflect the wishes and the requirements of the enterprises; to carry out
and implement the intentions of the government; and to assist the
government to do a job of the sectoral management.
In order to intensify the sectoral
quality management, there are: National Four-Treasure-of-Study
Standardization Center; Four-Treasure-of-Study Quality Supervisory &
Testing Center of China National Council of Light Industry; Anhui Xuan
Paper Quality Supervisory & Testing Center Station. The test of
calligraphy and painting paper is undertaken by Quality Supervisory &
Testing Center Station of Beijing Paper Research Institute.

The Association is the social and
economic body composed of the enterprises and institutions engaged in
four-treasure-of-study production, management, scientific research,
theoretical research, and the research on calligraphy and painting art. It
has 160 body members, 60 personal members, 5 honorary members, and 43
advisers, such as the famous calligraphers and painters Qi Gong, Dong
Shouping, Wu Guanzhong, Liu Bingsen, Liu Boshu, Shen Peng, Tian Shiguang
and Zhao Puchu etc. Under the Association, there are 8 professional
committees:
Xuan Paper Professional Committee;
Calligraphy &
Painting Paper Professional Committee;
Ink Stick Professional
Committee;
Chinese Brush Professional Committee;
Inkstone
Professional Committee;
Study Stationery & Articles Professional
Committee;
Management Professional Committee;

Calligraphy & Painting Art Research Committee.
The
Association has also two economic entities: China
Four-Treasure-of-Study Magazine House, Zhao Zhenhuan is the president
and concurrently editor-in-chief, Guo Haitang is deputy editor-in-chief;
Beijing Wenbao Technology & Development Company, Guo Haitang
is the general manager. |
