The Guangdong Galanz Enterprises (Group) Co. is one of the world's
largest manufacturers of microwave ovens. With the addition of other
electric appliances,Galanz aims to continue its dominance of China's
expanding domestic market and to make significant inroads into major
export markets.

Galanz was established in 1978 and first began producing microwave
ovens in 1993.By 1998,the production levels had increased to near 4
million units.It is estimated that Galanz captured over 50 percent of
China's microwave oven market in 1998.Exports have more than
doubled from 340 thousand units in 1997 to 780 thousand units in
1998. Galans external market highlights include exports to nearly 60
different countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico,
Brazil, England, France, Czech, and Germany. It is estimated that
Galanz had a 20 percent share of France's domestic market in 1998.

The current product line includes a wide range of microwave ovens and
rice cookers,including basic mechanical model to advanced computerized
models.Production levels in 1998 for rice cookers was 1.2 million units.

All production is concentrated in a single modem manufacturing facility
located in China's southern Guangdong Province.Its design capacity
includes 4.5 million microwave ovens and 2.0 million rice cookers.Plans
have been approved to double the firm's microwave oven capacity with
construction slated to begin in late 1999.

Galanz 's has striven to maintain high product standards and has obtained
ISO 9001 certification in 1996. Its products carry the UL mark,CSA
Certificate of Compliance,the European Community CE Mark,German
GS-Mark,Norway N-Mark and Denmark D-Mark.
