重庆五矿机械进出口有限公司成立于1983年，并于2003年完成了建立现代企业模式的体制改革。公司自营和代理各类商品和技术进出口，承揽国际工程，劳务输出，经营国内贸易。经过二十多年的发展，现年贸易额已超过人民币20亿元，其中出口1亿美元，进口8000万美元，连续多年位列重庆市出口创汇十五强的前茅、专业外贸公司第一名。
公司设有10个进出口业务部，并在美国、德国、阿根廷、南非、泰国、缅甸、越南、法国等8个国家设有代表处；信息、经营网络覆盖了日韩、欧洲、北美、中东、东南亚、南美、非洲等五大洲的70多个国家和地区；一般贸易、加工贸易齐头并进；经营的主要产品有：金属产品类（有色金属、黑色金属、铁合金、贵金属）；成套设备类；机电产品类（各类通用机械、电子产品、船用设备、起重设备、五金工具、焊接材料、磁性材料，等等）；化工类等。
公司一贯坚持“贸工结合”的发展道路，以控股、参股方式组建了多家生产型合资企业：重庆渝生钢绳有限责任公司、重庆迈特焊接材料有限责任公司、西昌锌业有限责任公司、深圳科美西迪实业有限公司、桑德科技（深圳）有限公司，等等，并拥有其产品的独家进出口经营权；与多家优秀生产企业建立了长期的战略合作伙伴关系，成为公司出口产品的生产基地；与多家设计院校、大中型设备生产厂家建立了长期的战略合作伙伴关系，并具有良好的国际工程项目承建、组织、管理能力和经验。

Ltd., founded in 1983 and restructured in 2003, is a leading foreign trade company with an up-to-date enterprise system. It specializes in three areas: international import/export and technology sector; overseas engineering project contracting sector(including exporting materials, dispatching complete set of equipment and arranging labour for overseas projects); as well as operating a domestic bsector. With the growth of over twenty years, the combined value of international and domestic trade exceeds ￥2 billion, – made up of $100 million in exports and $80 million in imports. The company ranks at the top 15 enterprises and top of professional foreign trade company in Chongqing City, in terms of exports. The company is made up of ten business departments and has eight overseas representative offices in the U.S.A, Germany, Argentina, South Africa, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and France.
